Season 5 releases August 16th. The box art has been released though and I'm really liking it as I didn't know if they would go with this pic or the one with him

I'd love if they used that picture but they couldn't do that for the people that haven't seen season 4 yet. Even though it was hard to avoid reading anything about it

Yeah I really wanted them to use that picture but I kinda didn't want them to as my Mom hasn't finished season 4 and doesn't know how it ends yet and that picture would have ruined it for her as well as others who don't know yet.

Dexter is a must buy for me. The wife loves it too so that is just a bonus.

There's no way someone could have anything spoiled by seeing that cover. After seeing Season 4 it just means something.

The Season 4 cover, on the other hand, IS a spoiler.

Edit: and I see people were referring to a piece of promo art they DIDN'T use.

I like the cover art ( if that is in fact the official ). Season 5 was OK. Season 4 was waaaaaay better.

It's still a pretty major spoiler. I let my friend borrow all 4 seasons currently on Blu and at the very least seeing that cover before Season 2 will tip you off re: how things between Dexter and Rita are resolved in the end.

It is, but nothing to be pissed off over. I knew Rita was pregnant before I watched season 3 and it didn't change anything for me at all.

And who's to say that people knew for a fact that he had a baby with Rita?

The release date of the DVD and Blu-ray of the fifth season of Dexter is Tuesday, August 16 2011. You can also pre-order the DVD's of season 5 on most multimedia websites. Showtime plans to announce the release date soon.
