Sold. I'd like to hope that if it sells well enough Fox will reconsider releasing seasons on blu-ray, but even if they don't this'll fit nicely in my collection since it's a standalone special.

Can't understand the logic of putting this out but not the seasons themselves.

Because the Season 2 release sold piss-poorly. Regardless of the complaints about the picture quality and the quality of the release overall, it didn't sell well so Fox didn't think it would be worth it to continue. It's quite easy to understand.

Exactly it always amazes me when people can never understand why we get one season and not another when it all comes down to sales and nothing else. Good sales= more seasons while bad sales= no more BD release. It's as simple as that.

I understand that concept.

Yet, we have this one-off film getting released.

You don't see a logical issue there? If Burn Notice sells badly, why put out a BD of the Burn Notice movie?

Because it's a stand alone release that people will want to buy even if they don't buy the seasons as it's just a one time buy and not 6+ seasons.

Exactly there is a much wider audience for this movie as fans of burn notice and bruce campbell in general will be interested.

I still think it's odd to release only Season 2 on BD, skip all of the others, and still do a BD for the movie.

But, whatever... hopefully sales of this will be decent and make them rethink plans for the rest of the show.

Seriously, the film quality of this show is spotty and poor even on DVD. That said at least the S2 blu ray reproduced it better, but it isn't like this is a series with consistently impressive visuals like say Supernatural.

That said, I'll still buy the Sam Axe blu

Well Burn Notice is filmed on 16mm film whereas Supernatural is not. Putting it on BD is not going to present an amazing difference. Still, I would buy the seasons on BD if they were put out, and I will buy this. I love Burn Notice.
