![]() ![]() EzyDVD has listed a Scarface "Metal Slipcase" for pre-order. Due for release August 31, 2011. Prelim art shows it to be square-edged so it could actually be a metal slipcover. Having said that Universal are responsible for the majority of the Steel Cases we've seen in Australia so this may be their next one. Suffice to say this will be one to keep an eye on, particularly if it does turn out to be a Steel Case as Uni's previous releases have always proven popular and generally sell out quite quickly. |

^ The Blu-ray logo will be and the spine ratings logo likely will be but if it does indeed turn out to be a Steel Case then the front ratings logo will likely be a sticker. None of the Universal released Australian Steel Cases (Smokin Aces, T2, Inglourious Basterds, Fast & Furious, Gladiator) have printed on ratings logos on the front. Only the Paramount releases do.

Not sure why you would think that. Have you seen all the other aussie steelcases? only the godfather trilogy and saving private ryan have printed ratings.

Curiously JB Hi-Fi is now listing a SteelBook for release: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/d...al-copy/650143
Having said that, with JB's track record in calling everything that comes in a metal case of any kind a SteelBook (they did so for the Hurt Locker/Sherlock Holmes MetalPak) and that the art they are showing is art for the US release I would suggest that this is most likely the same title. EzyDVD at least has Australian art. If that's the case whoever's doing the web site listings wouldn't know what a SteelBook was if it hit them in the head. |

Anyone have any experience of what JB Hifi's packing is like and if they mark as gift for customs (UK)?
Cheaper than Ezy who I have ordered from but if the packing is rubbish and I'm likely to get hit by customs with JB Hifi then I'll spend the extra and get from Ezy. Thanks. Last edited by Grapey; 05-18-2011 at 09:54 AM. |

anybody know where the thread went that highlighted all the AUS metal slipsleeves--like the case the AUS Apocalypse Now came in?
![]() I can't seem to find it for some reason. It used to be on the front page of the AUS sub-forum. thanks. |
