Paramount Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures (1981-2008) + Individual Releases

The Complete Indiana Jones Collection Blu-ray

Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures Blu-ray Review

News https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=8283

PARAMOUNT SPAIN HAS CONFIRMED A WORLDWIDE LAUNCH: SEPTEMBER 2012!!!

http://www.mubis.es/noticias/la-tril...fin-en-blu-ray

From avs...

Quote:
Frank Marshall, the producer of all 4 films, was on "Geek Time" yesterday. He said the transfers for the blu-rays are done and approved by Spielberg with modifications. All he said was changed was the brightness during the jungle chase at the beginning of the film. Spielberg felt it was too dark. He gave no release date but having the blu-rays done and approved I'm betting spring 2012 which has been speculated elsewhere too.
Check out geek time on Sirius channel 101 on Fridays at noon est
So much for Spielberg not wanting to tinker, eh?

all guns and whips have been replaced with flashlights, and all swastikas replaced with smiley faces.

I hope this is sarcasm, considering how much worse it could be.

Wasn't there a Indy trilogy released on VHS around the same time as the Star wars Special Editions, that had a bunch of special effects redone Star Wars SE style?

he wrote that because Spielberg said a few weeks ago that he wasn't gonna alter anything in his films from now on (i think it was for Jaws and 1942 or something...) and then this comes out that he fixes something lol. ironic.

If all he did was brighten a short chase scene, I'm totally fine with that. He's not adding in CGI or replacing firearms. Looking forward to some high def. adventures with Dr. Henry Jones, Jr.

It wasn't sarcasm. Didn't you read the recent Jaws news? He said he was done tinkering.

And the Indy trilogy DVD's had nothing changed, besides the reflection of the snake.

The Indiana Jones films must be one of my most anticipated releases in the format. Knowing the transfers are already finished gives me high hopes for an early 2012 release . Considering "Raiders of the Lost Ark" is easily one of my favorite films these news are extremely exciting.

For the changes, every director and producer using their prerogative is now likely to be bashed by some people. Brightness? Is the change really a big deal, so as to fundamentally alter the films forever? I don't think so. It's a bit much to make a big deal out of.

But has no say whatsoever over the films. These are Paramounts and Spielberg's.

The brightness level is a judgment call every time and has varied over the last 30 years. This is totally a nothing issue.

Jesus, some of you guys are just plain ridiculous, I know some are being sarcastic, but seriously, since the LOTR episode, it looks like there's always one guy nitpicking because not everything is exactly how he'd like it to be.

Haters gonna hate, whatever.

Unfortunately, there's always going to be people dissatisfied with stuff. Although I may not agree with them, they're quite within their rights to hold those views. I for one can't wait for the trilogy to come out.

This is funny, I just popped Last Crusade in when I got home since I was feeling the jones (heh) for some Indy, open up my laptop, and this news is right at the top. Glad to see it, I'll be glad to get rid of my 8 year old DVDs.
