Default blu-ray drive for alienware laptops

I've ordered an alienware m9750 laptop a few days ago. Right now blu-ray drives arnt in there laptops but they have them as an option in there desktops. Does anyone know if they'll add them to laptops soon and if they do would it be easy to install in my laptop.

i had no experience wih alienware, but most of laptops today are compatible with most optical drive, except toshiba and asus. I plan to buy HP Pavilion HDX (with HD DVD due to higher specs for processor), and replace as soon as I get it with Panasonic UJ-210 BD-RE.

Now, how easy to replace it depends if its hot-swappable or not. If it is, you don't need to open your laptop at all (example: Fujitsu S7010). If it not, that means you have to open at least one screw (in HP Pavilion dv9000), or more (4 screws in HP Pavilion zd7000). Tou might have to open the whole laptop (HP Omnibook XE3). The method of opening is also different for each laptop. Check with your manufacturer.

I suggest you using Panasonic UJ-220, UJ-210 (tray loading BD burner), UJ-215, UJ-225 (slot loading BD burner)
or cheaper option:
UJ-110 (BD reader)
