My firmware is up to date.
Last night I started watching Disc One of the Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition. I had to stop right before Frodo gets carried on horseback by Arwen to the riverbed. I hit stop on my remote and powered down the player. This morning when I tried to watch the disc it wouldn't play/load to the main menu. After it flashes the disc image on the screen to indicate it's loading but then in the bottom left corner on my TV a play and pause icon appears. Looking at the screen on the player itself the play and pause icon were present and the player's time read "00:00:01" and nothing happened after that. It's NOT a disc problem because my PS3 handles the same scenario just fine. To fix this: 1. Eject the disc (stop, menu, etc. don't work) 2. Go to the main menu of the player itself 3. In "Video" scroll up to the BD folder and erase the blu ray data 4. Put the disc back in and press play 5. The movie loads up and plays. Has anyone else this problem with the 570? Other movies (Avatar, Inception, Star Trek) haven't had any problems. |
