20th Century Fox X-Men: First Class (2011)

X-Men: First Class Blu-ray

X-Men: First Class Blu-ray Review

X-Men: First Class Blu-ray Best Buy editions

From The Digital Bits website:
Quote:
First, retail sources have informed us that 20th Century Fox is planning the Blu-ray and DVD release of X-Men: First Class on or around 9/20. We would expect an official announcement in the next couple of weeks - possibly even coinciding with Comic-Con.
No disc details yet but I will edit this thread to include them when they become available.

Loved this movie. I'm interested to see what special features (particularly deleted scenes) there are going to be for this, given the extremely rushed production schedule.

This might be my favorite X-Men film. Surprisingly good. My wife didn't know a thing about the franchise at all and she really enjoyed this movie.

That's why some of these are going to get pushed to Christmastime -- I cannot afford all the titles I want in September.

Day 1 purchase for me as well. One of the summer's best blockbusters and a welcome return of the franchise. I hope it did well enough that it's the first of many more.

Missed this in the theaters but will definitely pick this up on day 1.

True enough, September's looking more and more expensive for me too. The Crow, United 93, Thor and Star Wars Saga.

Loved First Class, the 2nd best of the X-Men franchise IMO. Been a fan since I was a kid, so day 1 purchase for me!

Pffft. This happens every fall; I just file for Chapter 7, and I'm good to go for another year.

I'm sorry for threadcrapping, but holy crap that movie sucked (IMHO). Easily the worst of all the X-films by far. I watched it a second time this week, thinking maybe I was just in a bad mood the first time or something. But no, it actually seemed even WORSE. From bad casting including the talented-but-horribly-miscast Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and the worst actress in the history of film (January Jones... and no, she's not all that hot, either), to the horrible writing like "let's all sit in a room and make up our nicknames!", to the ugly 60's setting... just bad.

...and I won't even get into how they pissed all over the X-men continuity - not only the comics but even that of their own films.

For all of you that enjoyed it, more power to ya. Enjoy. Me, this will be the first X-film I won't be buying.

This is easily the best film in the series. Even X-2 doesn't compare. And X3 is cheesy and horrible.

BEST??!?? Oh, god... I cant even fathom how one comes up with that. But I'm not going to bother debating it. To each his own.

...okay, except to say one thing... Did you see January Jones' acting? Just painful to watch. Worse than her acting in Unknown, and I didnt think that was possible.
