Sucker Punch SDCC 2011 Exclusive G1 Steelbook

I thought I would make a separate thread, so as to not further derail the Canadian Sucker Punch thread.

How many bought this at Comic-Con? How many of you are going to try and get a copy?

Also, if anyone comes across specific verified information about the production run, please post the information here.

According to Comic-Con's website, the (G1) production run is limited to 900 @ $45.00 and only available at Comic-Con.

There has been 3 auctions thus far on Ebay by the same seller. The first two sold for $75.00 with one bid each. The last one sold for $79.00. That seller doesn't have any left.

If anyone finds other sources for this release, post it here.

Regardless of it being G1... if it only has a production run of 900, it will surpass $200 on eBay. Time WILL tell.

You may be right on the Ebay guess. I am not going to resell mine later on and find out. lol

I realize many collectors here do not like G1, in keeping with the continuity of their collection. I prefer G2 as well. However, this is a nice looking steel, in my opinion. I think it ranks up there with the soon to be German release, even if it is G1. We can't always get our way with G2.

I would love to grab a copy of this. I am afraid that with such a limited number available I'm going to have to pay well over $100 for a copy. I guess we'll see what happens. $70-$80 on ebay would stretch the wallet a bit but wouldn't be too bad.
