According to both WBshop.com and Walmart.com, there's finally a movie-only edition of The Goonies being released in the US. Looks like it's scheduled for October 18, and currently available for pre-order at walmart.com for only $9.86!!

With free Movie Money to Happy Feet 2 (probably $7.50). So great deal for those who care. I blind bought the box set for $6, and I still haven't watched the damn thing...

I got my $6 set also and haven't watched it all the way through. I put it in and watched the first 15-20 minutes to see how good it looked. I didn't remember the beginning that well so it was cool to see it; I need to watch the rest of it now

it was like @ 2 or 3 am where i was.....and only lasted for a couple of hours.

I actually found the disc only on eBay a couple months ago for $10 so I am good.
