New cheaper SONY Blu Ray Player ....When ??

Any one of you got news of any new Sony Player cheaper then the PS3 and S300 getting released.

Doubt it. The latest press releases from Sony regading their new line blu-ray players seem to indicate that they will be MORE expensive than the BDP-S300.

There's a rumored 40GB PS3 for $399, and the new Sharp player is also rumored to be $399.

I believe that their new stand alone players are going to be more expensive as well. I thought I read that on this forum...I could be wrong though, it has happened before.

There are rumours of something. But, it could be a price reduction on the S300 when the S500 hits the street at the end of October.

The Sharp is already retailing online for near or just under $400.
