Default Gaming PC help.

Sorry for being naive, I have alot of questions.

For a pre-built PC.
1. What would be a good one to buy?

Other questions

2. What is the best graphics card on the market right now?
3. Do you have to buy a better power supply, so you can run a better graphics card?

Anything else I need to know?

First question: what's your budget?
Second: have you thought about building your own?

1. I have not really thought about a budget yet. Lets say Nothing too expensive and no too cheap.

2. I thought about it. But when it comes to PC's, I would be completely lost. It would be easier for me to buy a pre-built one. Then upgrade it.

Before members can provide recommendations, we will need a budget to work with (shipping cost should be factored in as well). If you have a firm number in mind (e.g. can't exceed $600 or $1000, total), we can start shopping for pre-built options, or better yet, a build-you-own rig.

Right now, I'm assisting a member on another forum with building a high-end custom rig (this is his first build). Building PCs today is easier than working on the car (for me anyways). It's not like the PCs of yesteryear, when you had to worry about setting jumpers and potential IRQ conflicts; with a little patience and care, all you need are some basic tools and 2-3 hours to put everything together. You gain a better understanding of the internals, plus, nothing's as gratifying as building something from scratch.

Building a PC is sooo easy. I have built 11 or so now. It only takes about 40 minutes to throw it together and about 20 minutes to install windows. you should check out the website NCIX.com they can build you a custom computer and ship it out to you. That way you get the good parts without spending money on crap parts first and upgrading after. Or if you want I can give you step by step help building one yourself unless pixel gives you a hand. It is fun to do.

Do what I did for 2. Go on actual computer forums, look on Youtube for how-to videos and many other things. I didn't have any idea as to what the hell I was doing when I first started to build my own computer but there are visual guides out there and Youtube is especially helpful.
Pre-builts are a waste of time especially since just about everything is riveted together. With one you build yourself, it's up to you to choose the exact stuff you want for it and the prices which you want. Another thing is zero company bloatware you always get from pre-builts.
People ask me what brand of computer I use. I always tell them I built my own. (Been up and running since August 5th of this month. Extremely worth it.)
I highly recommend techpowerup forums and their benchmarks. For me I chose AMD since they're more in my price range compared to Intel. YMMV. NEVER buy any Mac crap for a computer!

It took me several months to put the parts together since I'm on a limited budget. Other forums told me it'd never work since I bought the parts months apart from each other. Oh they were extremely wrong.

After spending time recently researching parts and prices I can tell you this

A custom built PC that can run current games on high settings will run you $800 minimum. If you want to ensure your PC can run any current game at maximum settings 1920x1080p and 60 fps your looking at $1100-$1200. For prebuilt add $200-$300 to either

Yes you have to buy a better power supply to run the better graphics cards.

Same here. A little pricey (but still cheaper than an equally powerful pre-built) but definitely worth it to build your own PC.
