With cinematographer John Alcott (during his brief early-80's slum into B-movies, qv. "The Beastmaster") making the train into the creepiest thing in the movie:

...Y'know, you just don't see too many 80's slasher films with Stanley Kubrick cinematography.

Shout! - feel free to roll out Hell Night, as well. No really, you're perfectly welcome to. Any old time. On a serious note, does anyone knows who does currently have the rights to Hell Night? I assume Anchor Bay's expired or were purchased by someone else.

I second this. A slasher ideal for the format.

Anyway, the more good 80's slashers the better. The killer in TT was an odd looking androgynous sort, which added to the film. Terror Train even has a young David Copperfield in it.

Both of those movies were really good especially back then. I would buy both on Blu ray.

I read somewhere that "Terror Train" was pushed back until later in the summer but it's still coming.

I updated the original post, but the embed code for the trailer doesn't work for some reason.

That's not totally a scary movie...more of a thriller. But what I think of when I see this movie is Horror Express with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. If you like scary and you like trains, that's a perfect one to pick up.
