Talking Halloween is coming, do you have your BDs ready?

MAN! Look at the LINE UP on this...

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Oct 02, 2007
The Day After Tomorrow Oct 02, 2007
Halloween Oct 02, 2007
Bram Stoker's Dracula Oct 02, 2007
Dawn of the Dead Oct 02, 2007
Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn Oct 02, 2007
Day of the Dead Oct 02, 2007

That is crazy awesome! Perfect for Halloween. I for one will host a Halloween party JUST for this! I say everyone should try to do something like that with all these great horror/thriller/action movies coming out!
Oh.. and.. "A room with a view".. Not one I will show at the party

I think Blade would have been a great October release. I could see a director's cut of that being quite wicked.

I have them all (except one) on order including three that shipped Wednesday. I haven't ordered Evil Dead 2. Is it worth buying? Opinions?

Evil Dead 2 is one of the greatest horror movies ever made. I've loved this movie since the first time I saw it. In fact, Evil Dead 2 is the title I am most excited to own on Blu-Ray.

"Groovy!"

Evil Dead 2 is one of the best movies ever. it is a cult classic and is one of the films that inspired the horror/comedy genre. It is fun, it is creepy, it is scary and gory, and it is funny too.
It uses bizarre camera work and even breaks a few cinematography rules just to mess with the audience. It is also one of the most quotable one-liner movies.

"Give me some sugar baby!"

You will love it. Also, not everyone knows this but... there is another sequel to it called Army of Darkness. It does make some small changes at the beginning of the film but it is a good movie. It is not as good as ED2, and doesn't have as much horror as action, but it does have a good mix of horror, action, and comedy. It is a lighter movie by far. Too bad it is not out on BD... yet.

Klatu, Verata, *cough cough*...

I will be adding Hostel and The Shining to my Halloween BD movie collection.

I cannot wait for all this stuff. Dawn of the Dead makes me happy.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. It was even my anniversary for a while, but the witch and I are divorced now. It made for some interesting anniversary parties too

Needless to say, I picked up all of the Starz releases for 10/2. Not sure what I'll be doing for Halloween, but they will all get watched sometime around the 31st.

Actually AOD is the last (so far) in the Trilogy; I liked Evil Dead over 2 but that's just me. AOD is more comedy than anything else. It is a classic though. So many great lines from an underappreciated actor. This is my BOOM stick!

Though Bubba Ho Tep was good too. JFK in a black man's body and a living Elvis team up to fight a mummy..
