Does anybody own this? I have the Final Cut on Blu Ray.. But have the 5 disc on dvd.. Is there any major difference in the other versions on Blu Ray??

I guess you would of had to own the dvd set first I suppose..

The 5-disc blu-ray set gives you the workprint... that wasn't included in the DVD set was it?

I would say there is a significant improvement over the DVD, because it definitely looks like 1080p material.

You are able to see film grain and pores on actors' faces even on the Archival and Workprint discs, which weren't scanned at 4K like the Final Cut was. I know the DVD would not have all of this detail.

I'm a big fan of the Workprint; didn't really realize that when I opted to get the 5-disc DVD set instead of just the Final Cut on Blu. If I could go back in time, I'd reconsider my decision and get the whole shebang in HD!

$29.99 is not a bad price: http://www.amazon.com/Runner-Five-Di...6464992&sr=8-1

Interesting.. The Work Print is included on the dvd set.. It's my fave version.. So your saying the versions after the final cut are of good PQ?

I'd sell the briefcase and the Final Cut BD and replace them with the 5-disc BD. Easier to have everything in one place. But that's just me.

I bought the 5 discs set and not the briefcase version when it was initially released. Didn't regret it.

That didn't happen with mine. I can't imagine that that is a common occurrance. Must have been a glitch with just a few copies.

I had the 5 disc DVD set and made the upgrade to the 5 disc blu a few months back - COMPLETLEY WORTH IT AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Seriously, the picture and audio are phenomenal - you won't be disappointed.

Which one has Deckard narrating in it? Thats the one I actually prefer. I think it has a different ending too.

Nah, I remember reading on the official thread that the company had to set up an exchange program for the right disc.

That's the theatrical/international cut, although the Workprint has a tiny amount of narration too (while Batty's dying, as stevo1978 pointed out).

I first bought the DVD briefcase when it was first released. I then bought the 5 disc BD set years later when Best Buy had it for $19.99 (discs but no briefcase). I haven't tried it, but I bet the BD set would fit in the DVD briefcase.

Most definitely worth the upgrade...both PQ and AQ significantly improved from DVD version(s).

The BD 5 disc set and the DVD 5 disc set are identical to each other and to the 5 disc sets used in the brief case. Actually only 3 out of the 5 discs are blu ray, briefcase or not.

I have the DVD briefcase and the Fat style (old) Blu Ray 5 disc.

It's just disc 2 and 4 which hold the special features (Dangerous Days, etc.)
