Harry Potter: Complete 8-Film Collection Blu-ray

Warner Home Video have announced the US DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 on 11th November 2011.

Quote:
Warner Home Video has chosen a Friday, Nov. 11 street date for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2, the final installment in the highest-grossing franchise of all time.

Warner will offer a Blu-ray Disc combo pack ($35.99), DVD ($28.98) and digital download versions, and also will offer consumers an UltraViolet digital copy version of the film.

Warner Nov. 11 also will offer Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection on Blu-ray ($139.99) and DVD ($98.92), though fans will have a limited time to pick up that or any of the ‘Potter’ films: on Dec. 29 the studio will cease new DVD and Blu-ray shipments of the franchise, locking it in the vault.

From Nov. 11 through Nov. 13, the studio will mark the releases with a celebration at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. Cast and crew from the series, including James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley), Warwick Davis (Prof. Flitwick, Griphook), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley), David Bradley (Argus Filch), Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) and more are expected to attend the three-day event.

Bonuses included with the Blu-ray combo pack include a maximum movie mode hosted by actor Matthew Long (Neville Longbottom) and other cast members; a conversation with series author JK Rowling and actor Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter); featurettes covering “The Goblins of Gringotts” and “The Women of Harry Potter”; deleted scenes and a tour of the ‘Potter’ studio in London. PlayStation 3 owners will also find a demo of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

Agreed, they will want to get this out for the Christmas season. I canty see us getting a full box set until they milk every individual release.

I can't believe it's coming out on the day of my sister's wedding, hope it gets the reference transfer it deserves!

It would be nice if they have a Deathly Hallows set for both parts since they're the same movie. If not, I'll still buy it regardless.

That would awesome if that's the release date since it's my birthday I hope they release the complete box set on the same day. But they'll probably wait until after everyone has already bought part 2

Mine too...I am planning to do something special for this 11-11-11. If this is the actual release date it will boost up my joy.

this may be wrong (hopefully it is), but apparently the dvd is coming out 11-11-11. BD is Dec. 9....

"-looks like Panda is moving. and I got the Potter date Partially Wrong. I am not happy with the studios now spliting up the release dates. Potter will street on 11/11 the Blu Ray will street on 12/9

-So... The DVD is coming first?

-looks that way"

That would be cool. If there was a hint of that before part 1 was released, I would have held off for it.

Saw this ad today for the Swedish release. Release date is November 16 (Releases in Sweden typically happen on wednesdays) for the Deathly Hallows (Part 2, Part 2 3D and Part 1 3D).
The boxes are listed for November 19, a saturday. The first box contains the films in an 8-disc digipack, and the limited box is and 11-disc affair which contains all the bonus material discs as well, and a scrapbook/photo album. If I'm reading this right it seems the box houses two digipacks, the first containing year 1-4 and the second one having year 5-7.2.
Now, as I said, this is the Swedish release, but it may be an indication to what will be released in the US as well...

Thanks, I just wish the box-set will containt the 3D edition for part I & II

I am expecting this to happen that's why I got rid of my individual releases. The next big release after star wars!
