Well, that was perfect timing. I cancelled my UK tin preorder last night. It looks like my G1 Green Lantern steelbook will have some company soon!

Since they are including DVD's with this, does that mean it will be one of those thick steelbooks with the awkward foldout plastic like Up and Monsters, Inc were? Or can a G1 hold six discs and keep its normal dimensions?

JESUS HELL another G1 release? Fast Five was enough, I can't keep supporting these DVD sized things.

i prefer this than the tin edition and probably this is my 2nd G1 size. My first one is Fast & Furious Future shop exclusive

The banner on the image on the website is the same as the one that has been on other Universal Studios Best Buy Exclusives, and it clearly says BLU-RAY + DVD + DIGITAL COPY across the top. That means flipper discs, people.

I hate flippers but Universal usually issues plain silver discs anyway, so I guess it wouldn't be that big of a deal in this case.

I understand that this is going to give you exclusive packaging and DVD versions/flippers, but it's also another $20.

What's a flipper disc? And how sturdy are these steelbooks really? Do they dent/break easily in any way? Does the pain chip off or get scratched easily?

blu-ray on one side of the disc and dvd on the other side.

Woah, so a two-sided disc, like how a lot of those "double feature" sets used to be? Well if that is the case then definitely count me out!

I always hated those for some reason.

Does not compute. I dont care what the disc looks like. All I care about is how the cover looks. I dont look at the discs. They stay in the case or in the player.

True, but a lot of people like disc art. However, this being a Universal release, there likely won't be any. I'm certainly getting this (assuming it is a steelbook), flippers or not.
