Default Lionsgate?

So browsing through the coming soon movies, i came to realize that Lionsgate has no upcoming releases through the rest of the year.....this raises the question of, what is Lionsgate doing? Why not give us some catalog titles?

What is yalls thoughts on the matter.....

Yeah, they're really a 'smaller' studio, so i didnt expect new releases all the time.

I do however look forward to eventual news on 3:10 to Yuma. I'm guessing sometime after the new year.

edit:

looking at imdb:
http://www.imdb.com/company/co0173285/

We already have releases of their 'popular/publicized' stuff. Ironman, the Condemed, and Delta Force were recent. I think we already have news on the Hostel movies, right?

After that, I'm guessing the larger releases will be: Good Luck Chuck, War, 310 to Yuma, The Invasion, Saw IV.

Those are really the most recent, that I am not surprised we dont have release info on yet, either for SDVD or BRD.

Yep I also noticed this. They should of released Bug on blu ray. I would've picked it up.

I don't think Bug was even announced was it? Either way they should of put it out with the DVD.

They've announced Skinwalkers (shit movie I know) for DVD, but no blu ray release.

Even if its not a movie I wouldn't buy I would still like to hear announcements. Then at least I know they are still in the game.

We've just entered Q4. Perhaps they're still finalizing their titles, or maybe they are pushing things off to early 2008 where things won't be so competitive.

A lot of back catalog titles dont do that well in hd sales. Even some that you think would.

A samller company like New Line probably doesnt want to gamble on anything but the big new releases.

We'll just have to wait.

King of New York is a great movie and I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who likes good crime dramas and solid ensemble casts. Christopher Walken is one of the greatest all time, and the supportong cast is no pushover either (Larry Fishbuirne, David Caruso, Wesley Snipes, Giancarlo Esposito and Steve Buscemi).

This is the best Lionsgate release of the year, bar none.

Saw4 and Good luck chuck will be good sellers even though I thought GLC was a medicore romantic comedy at best, but was funny with a lot of A LOT OF Raunchy scenes.

SAW4, well lets see I paid to see SAW and it sucked ass, then I gave them another chance with SAW II and it sucked even more ass! So I let SAWIII and will let SAW IV slip by!

Unfortunately, Lionsgate doesn't produce THE BEST BLOCKBUSTERS out there, they own several catalogues of good classic movies, but no new blockbusters

Maybe they will be part of big Sony's announcement on the 12th.

ie. Meaning part of a slate of as-of-yet unannounced movies for Q4.

I just got the Slow Burn DVD in the mail from Blockbuster Online which was also released by Lionsgate and there are a lot of previews before the movie. One of the movies is Bug and at the end of its preview it say coming soon on DVD and Blu-ray. I'm pretty sure it will be released on Blu-ray before the end of this year.
