Greatest post of the year. Wait... It's on ign.com????

"'m excited for the free online.. I'm told you can't send messages in game. You also can't send game invites or chat either. You don't have a universal friends list, and game companies will soon charge to use their games online. Wait.... suddenly this free online is starting to sound free! I'd rather play with my middle nut then play online with the PS3 now that I think about it"
Spoken like a true fanboy and someone who obviously has never been near a PS3.
I turn on my PS3, it logs me in, I can see my friends who are logged in and what games they are playing. For starters. Believe that, or just swallow the hype that Microsoft have shafted a whole generation of gamers with. PS3 games are delayed, sure. But maybe partly that is because blu-ray offers such massive storage so the devs can really go to town on high-def graphics and sound, rather than be limited to compromising for PC, XBox and other old-gen storage based consoles.
Unreal Tournament III should rule on PS3. Sure, it's a little wait but I'd rather wait for a fast-paced gritty shooter than lower myself to the lightweight day-glo toy that is Halo 3.
PS3 does not "blow", for goodness' sake. I see it as the console of the future that has fallen through a wormhole to our time, to unjustified unappreciation. Mankind is just not ready for it yet, apart from those who are willing to open their minds to the future potential. Shame no games fell through the wormhole with it, but that's time travel for you.
PS3 bashing is soooo boring now. Because ultimately, time will show that the naysayers were wrong to write it off. When PS3 hits full stride it will dominate. And it begins with Ratchet & Clank, which will highlight the 360's limitations so that it looks no better than a 1980's digital watch.
