Default 3DTV Home Theater advice?

Hi, I'm having a new tv delivered tomorrow. My old one suddenly got a few columns of dead pixels, and as it was still under warranty, Best Buy let me choose a replacement. I went with a 50" Panasonic TC-P50ST30. However, I'm worried about whether or not I can enjoy my new 3D TV with my current home theater setup.

Right now I have a PS3 connected via HDMI 1.3 to a Sony STR-KS2300 receiver. The receiver is connected via HDMI 1.3 to the TV. Will I be able to enjoy the 3D capabilities of my TV with this setup? If not, what would be the cheapest way for me to simultaneously enjoy both 3D picture and HD sound as my theater stands currently. Will I need to upgrade to HDMI 1.4? Will those cables still work with my receiver? Any input would be greatly appreciated, and if more information is needed I can provide that.

Thank you guys in advance.

can you provide a link to any info regarding the Sony STR-KS2300, I cannot find anything on this. Not even on Sony's website. (is this a USA model?) I'm trying to understand the capabilities of this unit.

Also, HDMI cables are either "standard" or "High Speed" ...not 1.3 or 1.4, so the cable will not make much difference.

Ok, well... Then I'm positive they're at least high speed. The receiver comes with the Sony HT-SS2300 home theater system, you might have better luck finding it with that... I can only find the support page for the receiver using the number from my first post. I'd provide a link, but I'm not at home right now and my phone isn't letting me link.

yeah I could only find the support page as well...but knowing its with the HT-SS2300 definitely helps.

Looking at the specs, it does not look as if it will pass the 3D signal from the PS3. So my advice in regards to 3D from the PS3 is to connect HDMI straight (from PS3) to the TV and just use an optical cable (PS3 > Receiver) for audio.

But, you could always try HDMI through the receiver first...you might get lucky? (but I doubt it)
