Default Bracke gives Hostel Four-and-a-half Stars for what?

Nope, it's not PQ, SQ, or the movie itself...it's for the SUPPLEMENTS?

Okay, I've seen some interesting things come from Peter Bracke, but Four-and-a-half stars for Hostel's supplements? Scary thought.

Well, fans of watching all supplements, it appears that this is your Blu-ray. Bracke says the film boasts FOUR full-length audio commentaries and even has a three-part documentary called "Hostel Dissected" that he appears to rave about for a while. So, you might check it out.

I am buying the movie, but I really could care less about the supplements. There is only 24 hours in a day.

Same here. I enjoyed "Hostel" and I'm getting 1 and 2 on Blu-ray, but supplements... no thanks.

I have never seen any 'torture porn' movies. I do enjoy a good horror film, but I am not sure that I would watch this movie more than once.

I couldn't agree more. I rather watch another movie than the same movie four times in a row just to listen to three different audio commentary tracks. And then three, four, five more hours worth of making of documentaries, featurettes, interviews, trivia and I don't know what...

I am guessing after his comments on the Hostel (UK import) that he was hoping that the supplements would blow him away, which it appears they did. He comments that it is the same movie/PQ/SQ of the UK import.

The most interesting thing to me is the seamless branching which he said worked flawlessly. How many branch points would there be? Looking forward to CE3K.

I don't really care about supplements either, but I don't understand your complaint. He didn't give the overall movie 4.5 stars, just the supplements. He didn't say that the overall release was great just because of the soaring supplements. Is he not supposed to mention or rank them at all?

Nope, not a complaint...just the way you read the information presented to you. I posted as a curiousity about the situation.

Edit: However after what you said, he didn't recommend the film until after the supplements were added. He states in his review of the UK import for the consumer to "Wait for the US Edition".
