this is Universal and Spielberg - they didn't include the original 5.1 Oscar 'Best Sound/Sound Effect Editing' mix for 'Jurassic Park' - now if this was Disney Home video they would.

be thankful it is not a Lucas' film, I'd hate seeing a "more realistic, this is MY vision so I don't give a rat's a** about my fans dissapointment" version.

Day 1 for me

Of coarse, Jaws was a mechanical shark! I hope you didn't think they've trained a real one for the movie.

Damn, thats a loooong wait but Im still pumped. And, it appears it will be released on its own which is the best news ever. The second film is actually OK for what it is and Id add that too if it was cheap enough but the rest of any films related to Jaws are lousy.

Cant wait!

August is starting to look interesting all of a sudden... Jaws as part of Universal's 100 year celebration. Isn't it great to get old.

Absolutely a day one purchase.

This has EASILY been in my list of top ten fave films of all time since I saw it in theaters during it's initial theatrical run....I was 12, and went by myself. It was one of the most visceral and exhilerating experiences I've ever had watching a film. That, and it scared the hell out of me.

Forget a Digibook, I've been emailing Universal trying to convince them to give us Special Packaging like this. I doubt it will happen but I've emailed them ever since it was coming to blu.

They could house it like WB did for the Night Op ship.

Nice! I actually just watched Jaws the Revenge last night just for the hell of it. That movie is hilarious! It's amazing how each sequel just kept getting significantly worse. From the all-time great Part 1 to the bottom of the barrell Part 4, it's got to be the biggest drop in quality ever in a single series.

That said, I do kind of like Part 2. It's nowhere near as good as the classic first one, but it's an enjoyable little "slasher" film in its own right. I'd like to see that one get a blu-ray release as well.
