Default Gregg Araki's Nowhere (1997) DVD

I recently purchased a region free DVD of Nowhere and the quality is probably the same on every release, I was watching it on VLC player and adjusted the colors and it looks pretty nice for Nowhere looking not so good.

I have a French disc of this Araki film, but I am extremely unhappy with it.

I would purchase anything that comes out on Blu-ray for my library because Totally F U C K E D Up, The Doom Generation and even Mysterious Skin have all suffered on DVD.

Doom Generation is Fullscreen and it's like OVER ZOOMED IN. It's pretty annoying, but the movie is amazing.
Nowhere is needs a Blu-Ray release, but it's most likely NEVER going to happen, even the DVD quality sucks, but it's the most watchable version out.

I have the PAL/Region 2 DVD from Spain.

EDIT: I'm watching it right now with TMT3. Lots of print damage.

Default Better hope Araki has a thing for film Anniversaries

If not him, then some small group of the countless stars who appear in this film might.
Then again, most of the now successful actors who are probably embarrassed by its existence might have pulled some strings to prevent it from being released.

I saw the film in its entirety on Youtube and I don't know if it will translate well to Blu-ray. I think some of the source material was 16mm, the original print is probably soaked in urine at the bottom of a landfill somewhere.

If they can't keep the DVD around, the Blu will likely never come.
Best bet is to hope Criterion or some other third party takes the initiative to send a search and rescue party for this film and give it the Blu treatment.
However, Criterion and other 3rd parties tend to release movies that were once popular but are now forgotten; Nowhere wasn't forgotten, because you can't forget something you never even knew existed in the first place. It's a film that practically needs an entirely new release.

Apologies for the mega bump, but does anyone know how the Second Sight disc, released just last year in the UK, fares?
