I presume that a release date will be announced soon as the BBFC have passed the making of documentary "All About the Birds".

The passing of the BBFC documentary is your evidence for it being released.

Whereas I read it as:

I presume that a release date will be announced , soon as the BBFC have passed the making of documentary "All About the Birds".

Which would really need an "as" before the "soon" to make any kind of sense ie that you knew a release was imminent but that this extra would have to be passed before it could be announced. Which makes no sense either.

So let's chalk it up to one part misleading grammar, two parts me being an idiot.

The latest issue of Empire has an advert for the Universal 'Augmented Reality' collection and has a picture of The Birds as part of the range. As they're all due for release on April 23rd and we haven't had any details yet it may have been pulled from this range before the advert went to press but it's at least a sign that it's on its way.

My sister came across a live version of The Birds when her local petrol station had a delivery. Cars suddenly swooped from every direction, one nearly running into her.

Looks like it's just the DVD as an 'Augmented Reality' edition for April 23rd.
