[PS Vita] Ciel no Surge: Song of the Lost Star's Offering

All of the teasers from Gust are about Ciel no Surge: Song of the Lost Star's Offering, a new series in development for PlayStation Vita.
The main character is a young girl named Ion (short for Ionasol) who lost her memory. In Ciel no Surge players will interact with her by selecting choices using the touch screen (reports state this is a "communication game") and there is a bar code reading function that connects to the world beyond. One of these bar codes is hidden in Gust's teasers. The game also has online connectivity, but how Gust plans on using it has not been detailed.
Ion has light brown hair and is said to be the girl from the teaser art. While Ion is in the kitchen you can select things like: cook, create a combo meal, soup, salad, and pastry. Other commands shown in the magazine are "lets do something together," "lets go to the dream world," and "need time to decide." Players will spend three years caring for Ion.
The game's world is called La Ciel and there is song magic. Songs control the sun, which is dangerous in the world. Ciel no Surge takes place in a floating city called Coron.
Ciel no Surge: Song of the Lost Star's Offering is the first game in a new series from Gust called SurgeConcerto, which has a concept of seven dimensions. Gust plans to use this world view as the base for several titles spanning different platforms. Ciel no Surge is first and it's slated for release as a PlayStation Vita game on April 26.
Famitsu has a little update about Gust's new project Ciel no Surge. Akira Tsuchiya is the director of the upcoming PlayStation Vita title. Tsuchiya was also director of the Ar tonelico series.
Ciel no Surge is the first game in the Surge Concerto series.
Reminiscent of Ar tonelico players will dive into Ion's mind, which is a world of its own. As a symbol of Ion's broken heart, the dream world is in ruins. Players will have to repair it with the help of a fairy to restore Ion's memories. She can recall recipes to use in the real world while interacting with the player.
In the beginning of the game, Ion makes friends with three neighborhood kids – Tabo, Plum, and Cass.
Gust will release free and paid downloadable content for Ciel no Surge. Clothes and extra scenarios will cost money while new motions and voices for the communication part will be free. Ciel no Surge comes out on April 26.
Fairies Are Similar to Mind Guardians But More Useful

Eating dinner with Ion is half of Ciel no Surge. You also have to repair her memory with the help of fairies (known as Char) and you create Char by scanning barcodes. Each barcode makes a different kind of fairy with a unique hairstyle, outfit, and countenance combination. Char also have different personalities and will interact with each other in the game's fairy space.
Players need to bring Char inside Ion's mind to repair ruins and her memory.
Ciel no Surge also has a built in Twitter-like system where players can type short messages called micro quasars.
Gust is re-releasing their PlayStation Vita communication game Ciel no Surge with a bunch of DLC packs as Ciel no Surge Re:Incarnation.
Ciiel no Surge Re:Incarnation includes the latest patches and World Packs 2-4 on the cartridge plus a ticket to download World Pack 5. Why would players who purchased Ciel no Surge want Re:Incarnation? Gust created a Reincarnation Ambassador DLC package which will be sold separately for 1,100 yen ($13). Polars Memory II, Konpota set, and Narikiri Set I costume packs are also included..
Ciel no Surge Re:Incarnation has some new elements too. There's a new race in the game, different greetings for Ion, and you can change the background music in Ion's room. Gust also made some tweaks to the item crafting menus to make the game more user friendly.
Ciel no Surge Re:incarnation is slated for release on February 21 for 7,140 yen ($85) in stores or 6,300 yen ($76) as a PlayStation Network download.
