I'll be picking this up.
It took this movie forever to be released on Blu-Ray.
I'm not expecting much, but my son will probably like watching it.

The movie came out theatrically last April, and they wanted to wait until the Easter season to release it on home video. It makes sense.

He's referring to the fact that this movie has already been released on blu in other markets -- just not North America.

Whos making the steelbook decisions for Future Shop? I hope they know that children don't collect steelbooks. I can't believe they would make one for 'Hop', but pass on Drive.

Drive is alliance which is notorious for double, triple dip so do not be surprised if they do one wave later on in the year that includes drive.

Disney does collectible packaging and children don't collect them. Parents buy them for kids.

You have to remember that steelbooks were made first and foremost for SELLING a product. If you get something neat or interesting with a product, you are more tempted to buy it. Collectors have just turned it into something more. Which is why you see steelbooks for weird or not as popular titles because the packaging makes it more of an interesting buy and helps pushes sales.

Look at Smurfs or Green Lantern. Without the steelbook, I doubt they would sell as many copies.

Sometimes a steel is a steel because the movie won't sell without a steel. Or perhaps didn't get enough recognition elsewhere.

Well put bud, will def be getting this, looks yummy and yes I'm a child at heart, aren't we all haha

This movie is fun for the whole family, just like Toy Story and all other animated flicks, I don't see anyone complaining about them, but yeah I kinda agree that FS lost their plot a bit, they should've released Drive in steelbook, that Drive slipcover is sweet but could've been pure awesome on the front of debossed steelbook

Love the cover and the bg colour combination, must buy for me

Does anybody on this forum ever do group buys for foreign releases like this one for instance? I am new to the site and not really sure where to find an answer to that question.... Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

We should definitely have a dedicated FS runner. I haven't seen Hop, but this is a pretty nice steelbook.
