So far, 11 that I currently have on the shelf, but now that the wife is onboard, I have 24 more replacements either pre-ordered, on the way, or will buy within the next two months. After my last count, I can actually replace nearly 25% of my current DVD collection with available or announced for 2007 blu-rays. I didn't think it would be so many, but it's awesome.

Rest of 2007.....Die Hard Trilogy, Polar Express, Spiderman 1&2, Mr & Mrs Smith, I Robot, ID4, Ronin, Pan's Labrynth.

Waiting for #(&%&$()&%()$#)%) Warner to give us Batman Begins, Matrix Trilogy, V, and Posiedon. I hate them more with each passing day.

This is getting very expensive.

Default The biggest expense...

...was replacing my 400 plus laserdisk collection with DVDs. And, still, a good number of wonderful LD titles are not available on DVD, let alone Blu.

But I have replaced the following DVDs with Blu:

Chronos
Casino Royale
Superman Returns
2001
Spider-Man 1, 2
Harry Potter 1-4

Still debating the replacement of Day After Tomorrow.

The one format that I wish DVD would eliminate as really lame are the Full Screen DVDs. What the heck is up with FS? I still cannot get The Shadow or Starman or even Peggy Sue Gets Married in Wide Screen DVD. I hope Blu will finally rectify that.

Debating LXG, Blood Diamond, and Sky Captain. Based on the reviews are they worth the upgrade?

I have a little over 100 LDs and I have replaced most with DVD. Some of the movies I lost interest in and never bothered to upgrade with DVD, but might consider if they come to Blu-Ray. 'The Saint' comes to mind.

And I agree about the FS DVDs. I have been wanting to own 'Fierce Creatures' ever since I first saw it and refuse to buy it in FS. I think 'Happy Gilmore' and 'Liar Liar' were the same way although I haven't looked recently to see if they had re-releases.
