Today - my war on HD DVD

as blockbuster will not have fokelore till tomarow i had time to kill
so i went to the sony forms and was socked on the number of pro HD-DVDs
posting there with strange idea i NEVER seen before like

"the only thing stoping it from playin both is sony. all they have to do is wright the code to allow the ps3 to play hd-dvd and put it in a update. i don't see why they just do that. and it would not encourage this war to keep goin. by not doing this is encouraging the war to keep going. if you can play blu-ray and hd-dvd on it is just allowing us to get movies that aren't on blu-ray on hd-dvd. thats it'

needless to say i was socked and spen the last 3 hours fighting this crap
looks like the only thing sony stops on there forms is 360 talk as this was way out of hand
add to that the fact many think HD-DVD and Blu-ray were the same as movies
they are clueless to bitrate and PCM or uncompress sound no wonder many PS3ers dont have Blu-ray there so much FUD on the sony forms that go uncheacked even had pro downloaders chimeing in tho many were killed buy mods wean they started going on how Xbox live is how every one will get movies soon

It's funny and annoying how many 360 owners praise hddvd, while most dont even have it (the addon)! And most are really dumb or naive.

I wonder how many would be HD DVD right now if the Playstaion 3 had come out at same time as 360. My boss and myself both own Blu Ray. a co- worker has HD DVD ( 360- HD add on) We asked him today- "If money wasnt an issue, which would you own If you could choose just 1?" He said Blu Ray, because it was the better format. He then said since he already had the 360, It was easier to get the cheap add on. So how many HD DVD fan boys would go BD if money wasnt an issue? I own a 360, I bought it when it first came out to play games. But no way would I get the add on after seeing it was inferior to Blu. I can however see why some younger people who bought the X-Box go with the add-on because it was the Cheap way to get HD.

there is a 40gb playstation 3 coming out if not out already which has a cheaper price , and the ps3 is a excellent blu ray player better then the stand alones IMHO so if you want to get it just for blu rays its perfectly fine.

Let's allow 360 owners to enjoy their system for the time being. After the holiday season just one system will reign above them all, the PS3

I've thought about BD like this as well, thier designed to read finer discs but can read DVD's, a firmware update and it should read HD-DVD's but that won't happen as it would indeed lengthen the war if the PS3 (one of the best if not, THE best selling HD player) plays both formats, then we'd no longer be invested in one format, we could go out and buy whatever we wanted BD or HD-DVD this would undoubtedly increase HD-DVD sales putting the format war at a stalemate.

sorry I'm just tired of listening to HD-DVD FUD, do those HD-DVD fanboys have nothing better to do?

they are dumb, obsessed with M$. I know I was obsessed with M$, but never I became obsessed with inferior format, HD DVD. Yuck

just a Upday for you all there STILL a lot of FUD that the PS3s are feed
its shocking sony dose not have a Blu-ray rep or mod for these boards
there were many posts about useing a 360 HD-DVD drive with a PS3
that HD-DVD is wining and that Sony payed for Fox and Disney

if i ever get MVP on the sony boards my rank will be FUD Fighter
