Pre-ordered with Play. I would rather pay the extra £1 and have a chance of getting it 2-3 days early than pre-order with Amazon and have no chance of getting it early.

£15-£16 for a single disc release with no dvd or slip.

Sorry Disney but your taking the p!$$ now

I can import the US double play for roughly the same amount and it'll come with a slip.

Why are we starting to get low standard releases in the UK??

Are You for real - you will order from the USA just to get an outer cardboard slipcase which is exactly the same artwork as normal case?

Sorry but am I missing something here?

I would have asked the same question... perhaps a little more gently, but the same question nonetheless.

I recently watched the US disc of this and really enjoyed it. I am old enough to have seen these characters when they were on tv all those years ago! In fact the film has got me back into them somewhat - I have since bought the season 1 dvd boxset of The Muppet Show, and the dvd of The Muppet Movie!

He did also point out that it didn't come with a DVD either. So given the choice of spending the same amount, with less discs in inferior packaging didn't make much sense. You may feel packaging is irrelevant, but a lot don't.

I don't care about slips that much much (I certainly don't seek them out), but for some it's important that they get the slip version if there's a choice (in the same way some go for the steelbook option).

I would have bought the Blu-ray if it had come with a DVD, but as it doesn't I'll just get the DVD version. I only have a Blu-ray player in the lounge and none of my friends have one. My laptop only has a DVD drive, and I have other DVD players in the house. As this is becoming common with Disney releases, I'll just stick to the DVD options as they're a lot more convenient for me.

Suppose the only problem with the US copy is that the DVD is region 1 and no good for laptops etc.

Sorry, wasn't meaning to sound rude with my above post. I can understand getting a copy from US to beat the UK street date and all that but not primarily for a cardboard case.

It's all choice after all. I couldnt give two hoots about a slip case but others obviously love them. You can even buy them on eBay as well!!!

I have very fond memories of watching the muppets on tv as a kid (and the crazy swedish chef made me so proud to be part swede). I can't wait to get this new movie to share with my kids.
The muppets ROCK!

I was the same.... grew up loving the Muppets as a kid... was excited by the good review vibes coming out before it's cinema release...

But when i saw the movie.. found it to be quite dull

IMO - it's a somewhat poor story that makes little sense, with very few humorous moments... couldn't see why it got so much hype

Wow, i couldn't agree with you more, it's like you took the words right out of my mouth.

I watched this last night and i don't think i laughed out loud once, the odd chuckle maybe but that was it. Even my 9 year old nephew didn't really enjoy it so it's not as if it was just me that had grown out of The Muppets.

I was so looking forward to seeing this due to all the good reviews etc, i too was a big Muppets fan when i was a kid but the 'man or muppet' song was the only part of the film i really enjoyed.

This & Hugo are now the 2 most over-rated movies i've seen this year & i'll be sticking mine on Ebay as i'll never watch it again.
