Australia Thoughts on the Terminator 2 Blu-ray?

I know this disc has gotten a little flack. But is it worth adding to one's collection, or is another release on the horizon that I should hold out for? Is it better or worse than other regions?

Thanks in advance!

100% worthy of adding to your collection, a big upgrade from the DVD in terms of PQ and AQ and it's part of jb's deal so it's around $10

Is the Skynet Edition perfect? No. Is it the only way to get all three cuts and heaps of special features? Yes.

It's still a major upgrade in every department, just held back a bit by the application of some DNR. As others have said though for the price you are getting a good deal and considering this is the second release of T2 and the Skynet Edition has already been packaged in four different ways (metal slip, slipcover, standard amaray and now Comic Book slipcover) you might find it's a while before any future release will come out. There aren't even any significant anniversaries for the film coming up which would make an excuse for a new edition.

If you find it for a good price then you shouldn't regret the buy. Just prepared for a bit of a load time with the disc.

Was having a look at the special feature list. Looks like it misses out on the documentaries included on the Ultimate Edition DVD.
What's the go? Does the PIP just have the same kind of stuff all chopped up?

Well worth the upgrade, especially at the moment with the JB sale, you can get it for $10ish with the nice looking comic art slip.

The original AUS release is only a few scenes short of being as long as the Skynet edition (notable missing scene is where the T1000 is inspecting John's room), and I think it's neglectable. I'd take the original release without DNR over the Skynet edition any day. It's already the directors cut.
