Default My Circuit City is terrible

So, tonight I run into our local Circuit City to look at a few movies and check out what they had in home audio as I'm looking to get a second and cheaper home audio system for a second room.

First off, the blu-rays were completely apart from any other movie. They were basically thrown on a cart and put back by the computers. I actually had to ask where they were after wandering around for 30 minutes.

It really appeared as if they were trying to hide them. Very odd.

Thankfully they are building a new CC within about 4 miles of my house so I'm hoping it's much better. I was VERY disappointed with the selection.

It has been my experiance, atleast with the CC's around here, that their media section is not very good at all...

Horribly unorganzied, and just plain out anemic in comparison to the BB's that usually are right next to them.

Not only are they unorganized, but the prices are horrendous! I'd rather go to Fry's or BB(with the price matching of course). The one near me is a joke. There is hardly anyone there, yet there are always alot of people at BB or Fry's. Fry's is my B&M of choice.

When I lived in San Diego and Dallas I went to Fry's all the time. But we don't have one in Oklahoma City. I'm hoping soon they will put one here.

I typically go to BB for movies and I generally like CC better for home audio.

But, I had a gift certificate off my credit card at CC so I thought I'd go look for a movie or two and check out their home audio. I swear every system in the store looked like it was in the as-is section or Open Box.

Like I said, I'm hoping the new store that will be a minute or two from my house will be better because I do like them better for home audio.

my local cc is pro hddvd, I can tell my the managers tone when discussing this one time. he told me he has an add on hddvd player.
Then one of the sales associates told me that hddvd is better, he says look how many more movies are here compared to blu-ray. I responded by saying, thats because the blu-ray sells faster and they dont get restocked.. The Hddvd section is very full and the blu-ray is nearly empty. kinda looks bad but nothing I can do about it, blu sells!!

send a complaint in the mail to the district manager. that will fix things for your store or at least get the ball rolling. include that you prefer to shop at CC but lately have bought all of your BD's at Best Buy due to the lack of selection at your CC store.

good luck
thanks

CC Would nto Price match Fry's today I was pissed they said it wasn't in local market when the ad comes in the paper for the whole metropolitan area the Fry's is probably like 20 miles from the CC I went to I told them I wouldn't be back into this store, That it was stupid they said it was 30 miles away which again is bs and that they don't pricematch Fry's also because they sell refurbs? I go these are movies there are no refurbs and there isn't a price match policy in the world PMing new for refurbs so hwo does that matter I will be contacting local division managenment this weekend. So tonight I went to worst buy and pmed for Dracula, Replacment Killers, and Underworld, so screw CC.

I think most Circuit Citys in general are terrible. I absolutely have every single one I've been to.
