Hmm, Wonder if this will ever see the light of day, being that Licensing prohibits the inclusion of both technologies from both sides (Currently)

Default Just components

This is just a set of optical components which *could* make it work with a single optical train. A single optical train would make it less expensive than a system with independent optical trains for each standard.

IF this ever shows up in a shipping product it will be a year or more from now.

To date I have yet to see any empirical proof of this.

Nor have I but it gets brought up every time by pretty reputable sources on the Other forums online everytime the proposition comes up. I'm sure we'll see it eventually...but it isn't probably going to happen in a brand I would concider purchasing for myself, Pioneer-Sony-Panasonic.
