Im sure someone will ask if TT will include the commentary, which I hope they will, but if they dont I cant replace the DVD with a bare bones blu ray. Ill wind up having to have them both.
TT usually has minimal bonus material

just watched this on DVD last week... includes commentary & a decent featurette... if the BD is bare-bones & comes w/ the $30 price tag, i don't think it's going to be as essential an upgrade as something like "Fright Night"

Ugh, I'm never buying from the TT site. Usually if they release something on BD, I won't bother to get it. I've only heard horrible things about trying to buy on their site, and the fact that they're limited to only 3,000 copies makes it even worse, along with the incredibly high price tag. I consider this bad news.

That is great that it is bad news for some, that is just more to be had for the folks that do not have any problems with them, I say bring it on

the site has been substantially upgraded and you should have no problem ordering anymore.
btw: people may as well figure out now that Sony is DONE with catalog releases on bd except for LOA imo.

It's a sad day to see Sony relegate it's catalog titles to this but it's also exciting to see that at least some of the titles are getting new life through smaller distributors. Now only if Sony and Fox would also license existing features to third-parties since they have no interest in releasing such catalog titles themselves.

Twilight Time does sell their Blu-rays as a third-party merchant through Amazon. I'm greatly excited by this news, I even suggested the movie to Scream Factory recently.

If Sony has no desire to release their catalog titles on their own they should license their titles to someone like Synapse or Shout Factory. Then we could get releases with great transfers, supplements, and a fair price. If Twilight Time wants to continue to release titles for $35+ then they need to make the product worth the cost.
