Default Best space movies

Which are your favorite movies that take place in space?
For me - (most favorite to least)

Star Wars Saga
Apollo 13
Star Trek (2009)
Prometheus
Alien
Avatar
Aliens
Lost in Space
Family Guy Star Wars movies
Sunshine (though it got really crappy by the end)

I'm planning to watch 'Moon' as soon as possible. I haven't seen it yet.

How does Solaris compare to Event Horizon? I liked Event when I was much younger. Now it seems really stupid. It was going fine till the dropped the whole 'hell' plotline.

EDIT :
1972? I was thinking of the one with Clooney.

Well, technically speaking Thor, Independece Day and MIB aren't really space movies. the same way Battle Los Angeles and Super 8 and I am Number Four aren't space movies.

A great deal of "Thor" takes place on other planets, which are in (what else?) outer space. The "honorable mentions" were added for less direct applications.

I was going by the assumption that "space movies" involved other planets and/or aliens...but i get the strong impression you already knew that...
