Default Superman "Triple Feature"--May 15, 2012

The original thread for this unique release was lost in the database crash. No one has since revived it, so I thought I would take the liberty to do so...

Superman "Triple Feature"

This release consists of Superman, Superman 2: Richard Donner Cut, and Superman Returns on three individual discs. Superman Returns is the revised 2008 release with the Dolby TrueHD and LPCM tracks; Unfortunately, Superman and Superman: Richard Donner Cut are not the same discs found in the Anthology set and thus lack the lossless audio codes.

I was at Target this past weekend and picked this up for $14.99. This is a niche release, but I think it will cater to quite few Superman fans that are not too fond of 3 and 4, and those who prefer the original Donner Cut.

I'd have considered it if they'd included the box set's version of Superman Returns with the deleted prologue.

Grabbed this right after a member posted they first saw it at Target. Definetly worth every penny of it's $14.99 price tag. It actually makes for a great trilogy watched back to back. You can clearly see Singer's intention all along was for Returns to not only be a direct sequel to Superman II. But a direct sequel to Donner's cut of Superman II.

Yeah, Singer must have did a lot of research on the original Richard Donner's SupermanII. Superman Returns works so much better with the Donner cut than the theatrical release of Superman II.

I would love to own a triple feature but the blu ray releases are lacking materials. Superman is missing some materials from the extended cut DVD and Superman Returns doesn't have the delete scene.
