United Kingdom Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

I couldnt find a thread using the search function for this so i thought i'd start one. My copy turned up Friday, it's a blind buy for me. The movie is... OK. It's a bit mad. perhaps a bit more mad than i expected given Neveldine/ Taylor's involvement, and that's saying something! The FX are absolutely immense and are the real strong point of this movie, everything just feels like a messy mash. I'm sure it'll grow on me though, and it's way better than the previous Ghost Rider movie. It comes with a lovely lenticular slip too.

Got mine on Friday from HMV. Blind buy also. I watched the first Ghost Rider last night as I haven't seen that in years, just to catch up with the 'story'. Will probably watch the second tomorrow or Tuesday. Looking forward to it though. I know they're silly, but never hurts to just switch off for a bad film every now and then!

I think they should've gone with a different Johnny Blaze. Cage is just too old now and it really feels in the movie like the character should be about 10-15 years younger. Cage brings the crazy which is good, but i dunno, this movie has pretty much nothing to do with the first one, and serves as a reboot of sorts, so i think they could've recast the main role.

Hope you enjoy it mate! It's certainly entertaining even if it is a bit all over the place.

The original Ghost rider should've been so much better. the villains and action scenes were where it really fell down for me. Great FX though

Its probably the best converted 3D movie I have seen...it is much darker than the original. Loved every minute of it. If you like the directors style in the Crank films, you will love this.

Is the video commentary missing from the UK release?

Not that it matters, I've ordered the US Best Buy 3D exclusive and steelbook.
