Extras not available on previous BD release according to Play.com:

Feature Commentary with film historian Sheldon Hall and Zulu's Second Unit Director Robert Porter
The Music of Zulu
Remembering an Epic
The Making of Zulu: 'Role of Honour'
The Making of Zulu:...And Snappeth The Spear In Sunder
Theatrical Trailer
Teaser Trailer

Personally, I can't wait for this release; this being one of my favorite British films. Also, the extras make this a must own and this will be the first BD ever that I have purchased from Play.com.

There's already a thread for this within the steelbook section.

The date is also the 10th September.

This film really needs a remaster, but I doubt it will receive one.

What are you talking about? It got one only a few years back by BFI to universal acclaim.

Agree. Zulu is one of the loveliest transfers I've seen. Taken from a 70mm print I believe. You can see the fillings in Michael Caine's teeth in complete clarity!

Sarcasm surely? This film looks amazing on (the already available) Blu-ray, even more so considering the film's age.

ZULU looks terrific but some people erroneously think that every film should display loads of grain.

70mm films will still have a fine grain structure, Zulu has a DNR'd waxy look;

Would anyone be able to get 2 of these for me? I do not think that Play.com will ship to the USA.

Here is the Play.com link:

I'll also like a remaster.
The existing Blu-ray is a DNR disaster. It looks almost as terrible as PATTON and THE LONGEST DAY.

Thank goodness I never bough those Blu-rays, I've learned not to trust the ratings on Blu-ray.com anymore.

"This isn't a DNR hackjob because there is still a lot of detail"

Yeah, because of artificial sharpening and edge enhancement.

You carry on thinking that if you want and I'll carry on watching and enjoying a superb film on a wonderful looking Blu-ray disc

I've always read many bad things about the original Blu-ray transfer. I'm hoping this is more in line with what a natural looking transfer should be.
