The Hunger Games Best Buy Collectors Edition Playback Issues - Blu-ray Forum

Several members here, myself included, have had issues with the Best Buy Collectors Edition Bluray. The main movie will play to somewhere between 1:05:00-1:15:00 and then has issues.

The purpose of this thread is to see how widespread this issue is.

Please keep in mind, there are MANY members reporting their copy works fine. I hope yours does for you.

Please vote in the poll either way. If you are having the issues, please feel free to leave additional information below such as bluray player info, where the error occurred or anything you may feel relevant.

Great idea. Since I've initially sent off an e-mail to LOINSGATE about this issue I can refer to the thread if and when I hear anything back from them.

BB is being A holes right now. Saying I need to exchange it for regular edition sense there sold out of the CE.

Probably the store, and in that case, what does the dude expect? If they sold out, they sold out. He should probably wait until they get more in.

Ask them to take the copy out of the regular edition and they take your bad disc from the collector's. what would be the big deal there?

exactly. this is what they do on open item exchanges. they open the new case there and check the disc. so why not just swap out the discs?

mine worked perfectly fine last night. not sure what's going on with everybody else.

I think since it is their exclusive they just cannot swap from the regular Blu-ray and do whatever they do with defect exchanges because it would have something to do with the way their inventory system works. I think I was told something like that awhile back.

I love BB but just had the worst experience ever. So pissed, almost got kicked out. Ended up calling corp to complain about Tony (man who treated me like dirt) then I explained about the issue and they said they would let it be known. I got store credit but that wasnt the issue I just couldn't believe how many times this guy lied to me.

No problems at all, here. Very happy with my CE. Doesn't really seem to be a big issue. 5+ defective copies out of 47,000+ seems acceptable to me.

No problems here luckily. Tried it on bdt320, ps3, insignia, and old lg 550.

Well, there's your problem. Your movie came from "Loinsgate".

The problem with your 5+ statement is that not everyone uses blu-ray.com, for all you know BB has already gotten 1000,2000,3000 or more complaints.
