Yes this is restored. Ive just been watching the artist paint film dirt and scratches from the master a few moments ago.

Ill try and get him to export me a Frame to show the kind of work thats being Fixed.

Original print looks very nice and grainy, but has some damage to be fixed.

Edit - i think this master runs 1hr 58 min

This was scanned 2k Last year, and a number of cleanups took place at that time, the final polish for Blu Ray is being applied now. Grain has not been touch at all. Not AT ALL. I know this because I made sure of it personally. This is a clean scan, Colour correction and clean of print damge release only. The release will feature DTS HD MA 2.0

Nice work for a fantastic Italian film. I'm glad they are keeping the grain intact.
My only disappointment, why not a 4k scan for preservation purposes ??????????? This is a classic in Italy and was a resounding success all over Europe.

4k scanning is not a regular occurrence.
Working on 4k files takes serious processing power.
its very costly And time consuming to work on.
We don't have a 4k scanner.
The difference would not be that noticeable. This is not OCN work
I dont pay the bills.

Anyway, most of the films out there are on 2k scan. So we're fine with it for sure!

The movie is very popular in Italy and the RAI channels often air it. Without counting the fact it was a success across Europe.
