USA Official - Digital Movie and TV Seasons Discount Thread

Hey everyone I know a lot of us are embracing the digital format and while there so many places to buy from there is no real way to track discounts and sales of these items. And many of the content providers discount items but don't really advertise the discounts well. So I thought we could help each other out and post any discounts we find on any digital video items. This is open to any provider just post which provider you found the deal from and if possible a link to said item or items.

Providers: Amazon, CinemaNow, iTunes, Sony Entertainment Network (PS3) UltraViolet, Vudu, Xbox, and any other Digital Service Providers.

Please don't turn this into a format war thread as we all know there are benefits and disadvantages to any format. But we all have our own preferences so please add keep this thread centered only on content sales, so those looking for the discounts can benefit from this.

Also this will be specifically for US content so if you want to post something discounted outside the US please specify that in post title.

Once an offer has expired please delete the post to help avoid clutter!

Default UltraViolet Digital Copies Codes from Blu-ray/DVD Sets

UltraViolet Digital Copies

As many of you know there is a thread in our trade forum (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=180881)where people will sell or trade digital copies from Blu-ray/DVD sets but if you can't find what you looking for there Family Video also sell them from their rental copies prices range from $1.50 to $6 for movie titles and up to $15 for TV sets. They charge a shipping charge of $1.99 on all orders but since they just email you the code, they will refund the shipping charge if you don't have any physical items in same order.

Check out their selection here:

Default 6 Free Digital Copies for signing up and trying Vudu's Disc-to-Digtal service

6 Free Digital Copies for signing up and trying Vudu's Disc-to-Digtal service at Wal-Mart.

I was not sure if I would qualify for this as I had already tried the program prior to this offer but I still received the 5 free titles. Plus for some reason they sent me the offer a second time so I get ten titles on one account not sure how or why but sign into your account and go to the "My Account" section and see if you have any links under "Saved Promotions" as this is where I had a link to get it a second time.

http://www.vudu.com/free_movies_promotion.html

Get 1 Movie When You Sign Up With Us Now
If you sign up for a VUDU account and create a new UltraViolet™ account, you are eligible to pick a free movie from a list of participating movie titles for this promotion. If you're an existing VUDU user, but don't have an UltraViolet™ account, you're eligible for this offer once you create a new UltraViolet™ account on VUDU.

Get 5 More Movies When You Try Our Disc-to-Digital Program
New and existing VUDU customers who complete their Disc-to-Digital transaction between June 4th and September 30th 2012 are eligible to receive 5 free movies on VUDU. If you have already done a Disc-to-Digital transaction prior to this promotion, you're still eligible to participate in this offer. This offer is limited to one per customer account during the promotion period.

I'm an existing VUDU customer. Can I still qualify?
If you are an existing VUDU customer but don't have an UltraViolet™ account, you are eligible to receive a free movie once you create your UltraViolet™ account on VUDU. If you already have an UltraViolet™ account on VUDU, you may still qualify for the 5 free movies promotion when you try our Disc-to-Digital program.

When does this promotion expire?
This promotion lasts from June 4th to September 30th 2012.

What is the format of these movies?
All of the free movies are in Standard Definition ('SD') format.

Default Possibility of 2 free Movies from Flixster

Go to this link:

http://beta.flixster.com/#/addtocollection/earnmovies

And it gives you two options each of which can earn you a free title:

The first is to install Flixster on your iPhone or Android Phone (did not work on my iPad so it may not work with iPods either) once you have it installed sign in and there should be an option to get a free movie. However for me it said I had already redeemed this offer so I think this offer has been around for awhile.

The second option is to Pick 5 movies that you want to see (this is basically a wish-list type feature and then you get a free title. If you go back and pick 5 more it shows you earned another one but I only ended up getting the one so I think this was a fluke.

The titles that I saw were: Space Jam, A Perfect Storm, Austin Powers 1, and Pay it Forward, but there may be more.

+1 for moving it back to the Deals forum.
And if you could update the OP to list all the current deals (and once they are expired, maybe move them to your second post), that would be good.

Noticed that Prometheus is available for Pre-Order on iTunes for $14.99 HD. Seems like a pretty good price for the HD version on release date.

Also, on the iTunes page it says Expected Release (HD): Sep 18, 2012

Thanks for the info. I think I'll wait for the 3D blu-ray too - only saw it in 2D in the theater.

BTW, thanks for starting this thread. It was a great idea.

Not sure if this up and going now but Vudu has link up for its redemption. But it looks like you can buy the Vudu copy in Walmart of The Amazing Spider-Man and watch it "today" and then they will ship you the actual disc on release date. Don't have full details as all I have seen was the link below. But I heard they are also doing this with Prometheus and it is available in stores already according to another forum member. But not sure if you can specify a 3D copy as your preorder or if it is just standard bluray or DVD. But if anyone stops in at Walmart check it out and let us know more.

Here is link and picture for Prometheus offer too:

Vudu has a couple HDX movies on sale that I saw.

Chloe $5.99
The White Ribbon $5.99

Not major releases or anything, but a good deal on some underseen movies.

On a general note... I recommend everyone who uses iTunes make a regular check (at least once a week, though I end up checking daily) for the free TV episodes.

I've managed to download a lot of HD and SD digital copies of TV shows. Typically it will be a season premiere, or maybe a 2-parter, or a finale... but still whatever it is there are lots of freebies of full episodes if you keep checking regularly.

Amazon Local is giving away Free Vouchers for $2.00 off an Amazon Instant Video Rental/Purchase.

There appears to be no minimum purchase price to use the discount, so presumably a rental of $2 or less would be free... or you could watch a new release movie (which is typically $3.99) for only $1.99.

Voucher expires on 10/31.

Default Just found a great website!

I just found this website: http://www.canistream.it They also have some apps available links at the top of this page.

It allows you to put in any movie title or tv show title and then it will tell you where it is available in a digital format either through either subscription services like Netflix and Hulu, or through rental and purchase options through amazon, iTunes, vudu and more. It will list the price for purchase and rental. And if its not currently available it gives you the option to be notified when it becomes available.

Looks like it will be very nice for those of us who use multiple sources to be able to compare prices in one spot.

The DLC for Black Ops 2 and ACIII is packaged in the game, so there's no chance of getting them emailed. Each store is offering a different DLC for Halo 4 so there's a good chance you'll actually get that one. I don't know about MOH.

Did they change something? There's no "buy" option on the page for any of the ones I checked.

But one thing to keep in mind it 5 per promotional offer so if you have used other coupons before they don't count against limit as this is a new offer.
On each product page, it says In Stock. But I add them to my cart, and then it says they are out of stock and cannot be ordered?
