United Kingdom Bait 3D Blu-ray (2012) [Region Locked / Free]

The American 3D Blu-ray is locked to Region A but the UK 3D Blu-ray is in fact REGION FREE and not locked to Region B as the back cover suggests.

The film was released on 3D Blu-ray in other countries too - for a comparison see here.

Bait 3D Review

Just watched this. Holy Cow! The 3D was great! A lot better than I thought it would be, but it is pretty corny. However, this is one I believe the 3D makes up for! I am glad I blind bought this.
I would put this in my top 10 for 3D strength, if not top 5.

Nice. Glad to hear the 3D is good. About where would you place the 3D of BAIT on the following on the 3D chart?

strong 3D (Avatar, Hugo, Open Season, Journey CE I)
very good 3D (Avengers)
good 3D (Bolt)
decent 3D (Monster House, Piranha 3D)
weak 3D (Green Lantern, Star Wars Episode I, ParaNorman)

How does it compare to Piranha 3D if you've seen that one?

I really hate to say it, for fear of backlash, but I would put it almost on par with Journey 1. It is probably a partial notch under it. There was quite a bit of separation when I took my glasses off. There were several pop-out moments that almost go far enough to make you cross-eyed! I own almost all 3D blus, but this is definitely fun for a very corny movie. The only problem I noticed was the really bright shadows where the light hits things, much like final destination 4. Most newer movies have alleviated that problem. Other than that, no crosstalk on my 55LW5600.

So, if you don't mind silly wannabe horror movies, this makes a great popcorn flick. Its 3D is a lot stronger than Shark Night.

(Don't judge it solely based on what I say, it is a matter of opinion)

Cool little read on how they planned for 3D and such.

No love for Sammy and Journey 2? Both are great 3D also.

I plan on buying this based on the 3D presentation alone. This look to be my 2nd guilty pleasure blind buy (first was Piranha 3D).

Good to hear. I had my eye on this one for a while. I had it confused with Shark Night. When I saw Shark Night, I kept waiting for them to get trapped in a supermarket. Ordered this from Amazon for under $20. Can't wait to watch it.

Rented this today from family video. And all I have to say is "wow". It's a fun movie. It's not the best 3D, but good enough. The story line is not the best, but again, good enough. I really enjoyed this movie and the 3D definitely was fun. And the opening 5 minute scene had me hitting the rewind several times! Wow! Check it out!

Great 3D on this one. Movie was a bit of a... joke... but how seriously can you take 'Sharks In A Supermarket'?

Agreed. Though I haven't seen Sammy yet as it's about 40 dollars overseas.

Sharks in a supermarket underwater sounds pretty cool and original. Nice. If this hits 16.99 I'll bite.

This looks interesting, especially at 18.99 at bb. Is there any gore? I love shark movies, but not it needs to have some good jumps and some gore like Deep blue sea and Jaws.

A little gore but nothing that's going to turn your head. It appears to be toned down in that regards.

Quick question. How much of Bait takes place in the supermarket?

I think a super market would make for a good 3D setting. The cover for Bait 3D looks good.

Just got back from BB, they only had 3 left. I figured a native 3d blind buy for under $20 is not a bad deal. The blind buy was even easier to make thanks to the good reviews its gotten on here. I like campy horrors like piranhas. Will be checking this out tonight.

I rented it on vudu with a $5.99 credit I had and the movie had nice depth and a bunch of pop outs. Not bad for a shark movie, full of mindless fun. I'd pick it up if I see it for $15 down the road

Just finished watching this.....loved it! Great popcorn movie with some great scary jumps, gore, and wonderful 3D. I'm so glad I picked this up as a blind buy, my best blind yet, definitely worth the $18.99.

The movie had great quality depth and quite a few good pop outs, which surprised me. The plot, story and acting were good. It won't win any Oscars, but you wouldn't expect it to.

It doesn't take itself too seriously, it just aims itself to be an action/horror, balls in your face flick that's entertaining, nothing more, nothing less. It reminded me somewhat of Deep blue sea, except with 3d, which elevated the movie.

I'm currently building a theater room in my new house and can't wait to re watch this on my 140" screen. Thanks OP for the recommendation.
