[PS Vita]Senran Kagura, Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Valhalla Knights 3

Valhalla Knights 3 is headed to the PlayStation Vita in 2013, Marvelous AQL producer, Yoshifumi Hashimoto, revealed at Sony's pre-TGS conference this evening. The game will cost 6,980 yen.

Also headed to Vita is a Senran Kagura game titled Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus. That title will be released on February 28th in Japan for 6,980 yen.

Finally, Muramasa: The Demon Blade is also seeing a PlayStation Vita port on March 28th. That game will be released for 4,980 yen, and will feature new content.

Some people think it might not because of the bad translation from Ignition and thinking that whoever localizes Muramasa on PS Vita will have to do some kind of like re-translation.

Of course I never had a Wii so I wouldn't know what the translation from Ignition was like.

Well it has new content so some kind of work on that front would need done anyway. So could see somebody like Xseed picking it up and only releasing it on PSN. I would be fine with the translation as is just to not be stuck playing it on a system I hate so much and the Vita screen doing the art the justice it deserves.

I'm still holding out hope that one of these days, we might get to see a HD port of the game...but I guess having it on the Vita with its OLED screen will do for now.

Famitsu has the scoop on Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, a "bursting boobs hyper battle" game. Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus is different from the Nintendo 3DS Kagura titles since it has a 3D field and all together the game has 20 characters you can play as. There are a group of newcomers from the Death Cram School.

The PlayStation Vita title also supports Wi-Fi connectivity for four player battles and for the first time complete costume destruction.

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus comes out on February 28, 2013 for PlayStation Vita. First print copies include a "Girl’s Completely Bare File." This bundle has the most popular Kagura girl on the cover, a visual book, soundtrack CD, and drama CD. There's also a "Moo Moo DX Pack" with a long drama CD, arrange soundtrack with opening/ending themes, and a set of five Niitengo figures bundled in a special box. Niitengo figures are moe figures from Chara-Ani.

Marvelous AQL is bringing Muramasa: The Demon Blade to PlayStation Vita. This version will have a completely new DLC story temporarily titled "The Bizarre Genroku Tale."

There may be more to Muramasa: The Demon Blade than that downloadable scenario. Japanese blog Game no Hanashi reports it seems like four new protagonists are introduced in the latest issue of Famitsu.

Famitsu has more details about Valhalla Knights 3, a new RPG from Marvelous AQL for the PlayStation Vita. The game has 7 on 7 battles and a seamless transition between the field and battle scenes.

The hero in Valhalla Knights 3 comes from far away in search of the legendary treasure left behind by a great criminal. This criminal was a spy charged with treason. Valhalla Knights 3 has story quests with various kinds of missions including escort missions.

Valhalla Knights has seven races: Human, Elf, Hobbit, Dwarf, Nightmare, and Beast. You can choose their gender, classes, and even customize their personality. Changing their personality also changes how they perform in battle.

Valhalla Knights 3 has a gimmick in towns where you can start a relationship with the girls running the guild and shops. They'll give you requests and if you fulfill them you can increase your relationship.

A better relationship means "awesome service" in stores and the guild where you can recruit new knights.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus screenshots are sexier than ever! Warning NSFW

Marvelous AQL released a few screenshots of Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, a PlayStation Vita game from Half-Minute Hero producer Kenichiro Takaki. Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus adds new characters and has different gameplay compared to the Nintendo 3DS games.

There's that full costume break system too, which is why these screens fall into the possibly NSFW folder.

Senran Kagura producer Kenichiro Takaki didn't shy away from talking about the full costume break system in Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus. When Takaki showed me the Vita game he mentioned complete costume destruction is a key feature. While Senran Kagura and it sequel Senran Kagura Burst has, as Takaki likes to say, "bursting boobs" the ninja girls still have some of their costumes.

Did Takaki want to add more adult content because Vita skews to an older audience? "No, I wanted to make it more sexual," Takaki said. I followed up and asked Takaki if there was an explanation in Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus’ story about why full costume breaks happen.

"The girls are normal girls that wear normal clothing. When they transform into battle mode they project their clothes with their mind," Takaki detailed. "As they get beat up, they lose focus and they can't project clothing anymore. When they are completely beat they can't project clothes at all."

Takaki says even though characters lose their costumes Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus will be rated CERO D (17+) and none of the girls will be fully nude. They will attempt to cover themselves up by holding their hands over sensitive areas, Takaki explained while imitating this with a gesture.

Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus will have downloadable costumes too.

Hah, probably. Though honestly as an M-rated game (which it would undoubtedly be), it looks like it plays more or less like Dynasty Warriors with a heaping tablespoon full of gratuitous T&A.

That's exactly like how it is. But Marvelous Entertainment obviously copied the clothing destruction from the Ikki Tousen games on PSP and maybe that Ikki Tousen game on PS2 that was almost localized.

The Senran Kagura games on the 3DS don't play like a Dynasty Warriors game. But it definitely has the clothing destruction. Gameplay is like the Ikki Tousen games. This PS Vita game changes the gameplay but keeps the clothing destruction but being more revealing(but not enough to show full nudity since Japan wouldn't allow that on console or handheld games).
