I sure hope Cineplex has that sweet deal on movies at Christmas time again.

Last year's $19.99 on recent movies (including some animated Disney) + free movie pass + 100 Scene points + free shipping with 2 min was pretty sweet.

Yeah, that was a good one. They do currently have a free 1000pts with the purchase of Avengers, however it is way overpriced at $36. The deal is on for a while I believe though so maybe it will go down in price at some point while still being eligible for the scene pts.

El Baz, you got your wish. Cineplex is doing the sale again where you get an Admit One with purchasing select items.

http://store.cineplex.com/store/html...ndGo2012-Guide

A few things that caught my attention:

Lawrence of Arabia BR - $15.99 (Granted you miss out on that 3rd disc of extras from the Collector's Edition, but to get a classic like this for $15.99 and an Admit 1 that is worth $10-11 as well is a steal)

Christopher Nolan Collection - $29.99 (We all probably own at least 1 film from this set, but if you know someone who just got a big HDTV and hasn't went Blu yet, this collection + a cheap BR player is a great place to start)

The Terminator Anthology - $32.99 (Ditto the Nolan comment, we all probably already own at least one of these films. But once again great deal to get them all in a cool looking set for this price and the Admit 1 sweetens the deal)

Ted, The Bourne Legacy, Total Recall, Premium Rush, Lawless, Sparkle, Hope Springs, ParaNorman - $21.99-23.99 each. Likely matches or beats any release day pricing you will likely get for these titles, and you get an Admit 1.

Want a few of these? Make the deal even more enticing, Cineplex is giving an extra $10 e-Gift Card when you purchase a $50 e-gift Card. Someone can correct me but I'm fairly sure these e-gift cards can be used in the store, to save another $10 off a $60+ order.

Note: Some of the listings don't seem to be working yet, especially for the upcoming releases.

Drool....

Paranorman for $23.99 + movie pass + free shipping sounds good to me.
Perhaps I will snag Lawrence of Arabia as well.

I will wait a bit as they get their website in order. I do recall them offering double Scene points as well last year for a limited time.

I don't recall ever seeing movies being sold at Cineplex chains so yeah, most definitely online.

Thanks for posting that, completely missed the start date. At least that explains why 80% of the listings aren't working right now.

Saw this offer yesterday too, and was going to post it, but since none of the links or banners were working, decided to hold off. Didn't notice the start date anywhere either, but this is great news.

Ted for $22 with a free ticket, is awesome. I do want to see what Best Buy's exclusive talking bear is like first though before I jump on this lol

Kind of funny they sent out the e-mail ad and their website and sale is not ready.

I hope they have a double Scene points promo with this like last year.

Sherlock Holmes at $15.99 with a free movie ticket? Considering it costs me $12.50 to see a movie and I was going to get Sherlock anyway, for an extra $3.50 it's a no brainer.

$12.50? You can get Admit One passes for $8 (sometimes even less). I don't even remember the last time I actually bought a ticket with coin (aside from AVX/IMAX/3D surcharges).

This is the problem I have with this deal as well. I usually buy the Cineplex Night Out Coupon for ~$25 at Cost Co. This gets me 2 admissions, 2 drinks and a popcorn. To get the same food without the coupon I am looking at roughly $15 where I live, so a ticket is really only worth about $5 each to me. Also I would have to buy at least 2 movies (and in multiples of 2) for this to even have any value as an additional admission for my wife would be $10, leaving me paying $25 for her admission and the food. So 1 ticket is virtually worthless in my situation.

But I guess to each there own.

No Costco Membership and I have no significant other, this deal is fantastic for me compared to what I am used to.

I too have a Costco membership and can get the Cineplex combo passes but this doesn't work out well if you are going solo to the movies (yes, some people do it since their better halves don't want to see the movie) or if you don't want to consume 1000 calories of popcorn.

The passes can also be good Christmas gifts

Don't get me wrong, I can see how this is a great deal for some. I was just saying that it doesn't really work for my situation. After re-reading what I wrote, I don't think I expressed that very well.

As i said, to each there own.
