Eecha - (Eega Malayalam Version) Blu-ray

I can announce that AP International will be releasing Eecha on Blu-ray for a worldwide release.

This is the Malayalam Version of the Telugu blockbuster Eega.

The film will be mastered from the 2k DPX file (File Approved by Director)

Video will be: Widescreen 2.35:1 - 23.97fps - 1080p - AVC (35Mpbs)
Audio will be: Malayalam DTS-MA HD 5.1

English Subtitles will be done by Rekhs.

I will be supervising the encoding project.
So expect natural film grain, approved director's transfer and NO WATERMARKS!!!!

Special features TBC.
Release Date: Mid/Late November 2012. We start encoding work....tommorow.

We are trying hard for the Tamil Language version.
We've given the producers a fair pitch. Its upto them to accept.

Full telecast will be Diwali. Until then no-one can release the Tamil Blu-ray version...due to a contract the film producers made with Sun TV.

new malayalam blu rays with excellent quality is released at rs. 500. two of them released today. pure blu ray quality, no upscales. so its possible to release blu rays at 500. get the facts before u blabber here. scren shots are on this forum

being a heavy film industry,Bollywood BDs sales on price btw 500-800(eros,shemaro,reliance,yrf). 999rps for a malayalam bluray is n't tolerable!
Even moserbaer releases malayalam BDs in 799 ,central in 799, sathya & Mc in 500.if Ap bring down their rate btw 499-799, it will be sucess!

High levl of expenditure will go towards obtaining director approved DPX file, 7 days of Encoding work, Multiple testing to ensure correct Film Grain and Black levels settings, Authoring & Replication costs, and Royalties.

Profit margin for AP International will be low...but at least we'll be getting a good quality product out there.

If you want the product to be RS.500 then we would have to sacrifice Video quality measures.

Hopefully, when you compare ours to Aditya Video you will notice the difference.

Aditya has priced EEGA Telugu blu-ray at Rs 999 in India
In USA it will be $25 to $30 for sure.

Please don't scare me .... I know Aditya Blu-rays Sri Ramadasu and KICK are not good at all. They got better with 100% Love, Mr. Perfect and Badrinath though with some room for improvement.

Do you know if Aditya is also using the DPX file ?
I wonder why Aditya didn't use AP International for authoring if you guys are working on it anyway. I think in the past AP International made Telugu Blu-rays for Sri Balaji or Bhavani. It would have saved money to both Aditya and you a little.
