Default tower speaker for center channel?

I am getting ready to upgrade my theater and i have a few audio questions. I will be using a projector and a screen that allows sound to pass through it. for a ssp i am thinking about the anthem avm 50. I want to pair the anthem with paradigm studio speakers. now what i am stuck on is if i can use 4 studio 100 speakers for my left-center-right channels. the avm 50 has outputs for two center channel speakers, so if you have a large screen you can use 1 speaker above the screen and another below. since my speakers will be behind the screen i was wondering if i could use two floor speakers for the center channel. I have no way to test this setup before i buy it so i would like to know if using floor speakers would sound good or bad for the center channel. I read somewhere that if you set a regular center channel speaker vertical it would sound better and that is what gave me the idea to use floor speakers. I would think this would sound good with music but im not sure about movies and video games. what do you guys think?
thanks!
