XSEED will be releasing Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, the sequel to the first Corpse Party game, this winter for the PSP. A European release will follow at a later point in time.
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows is comprised of eight chapters, each with its own story. Some of these are connected to the previous game, while others are “What If?” chapters. The game's final chapter, Blood Drive, is a direct sequel, focusing on two of the survivors from the first Corpse Party.
Unlike the original Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows has first person view instead of third person.
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows will be released as a download title for PSP. Also, starting tomorrow, the original Corpse Party will be available for $9.99 until November 6th.
Sachiko will return on January 15 when XSEED releases Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. This game from 5pb is a direct sequel to Corpse Party that uses a first person perspective instead of sprites. Players will examine areas kind of like a point and click adventure game.
Try not to freak out because frightened characters in Book of Shadows lose their composure and ability to make rational decisions. Some choices are timed which adds an element of pressure to the game's tense atmosphere.
Bad decisions lead to grim "wrong ends," but you can replay Corpse Party: Book of Shadows in search of a happier(?) ending. There's an option to fast forward text by holding the R button down which should make replays faster. Corpse Party: Book of Shadows will cost $19.99 on PlayStation Network.
