Default Help Mount Short Throw Projector

Hi I'm in need of some help. I have the Optoma GT700 projector and I'm desperate to mount it as I'm in need of more space within my room. I have a few problems, (1) my room is really small due to bed size, desk and wardrobe and (2) I have a low and uneven ceiling due to an air duct. I was wondering if there was any way to mount it or certain mounts that I should be looking into.
Currently I have the projector on a rolling caddy with my ps3 and xbox and it projects on to a whitish wall.

This is the wall parallel to my bed near the back wall of my room (standing on bed)

Back wall of the room (bed is on the right-side it is a murphy bed)

I've also been thinking of mounting a screen. Would it be possible to mount a manual pull down screen to an uneven ceiling?

Any help would be appreciated thanks

Would you be able to put a shelf a couple feet from the ceiling to set the projector on?

I probably could put up a shelf but wouldn't the projector have to be hung upside down because of the short throw?

Throw distance has nothing to do with the projector being upside down or not, unless I'm completely misunderstanding you. A wall mounted shelf, opposite the screen wall, set a couple feet below the ceiling should resolve your issues with the uneven ceiling.

Oh I think I see what you are saying about the uneven ceiling. So I would create a shelf to make it even with the rest of the ceiling. From there I could hang the projector any way...right?

I have a duct across my ceiling right where I wanted to mount my projector. I ended up attaching a piece of red oak across the duct and mounting my projector to it. In your case I would go with the shelf on the rear wall as mentioned. I didn't have that option as my rear wall was too far away.
