WBShop Warner Premium Collection DigiBooks | Master List & Discussion Thread

Warner Home Video Premium Collection DigiBooks

Master List & Discussion Thread

I can't find a discussion thread about the Warner Premium Collection DigiBooks so I thought I'd start this both for that and to make a master list of the releases.

If anyone knows of any new releases that aren't listed just let me know and I'll update the list. On top of that it will be greatly appreciated if anyone who owns any of these releases could confirm the country, region info (a,b,c or free) and the language of the booklet. As we get more info I'll work it into the post.

These are definitely among my favourite studio collections (although the Universal 100th Anni' digibooks trump them in quality now) and it annoys me a bit that only Germany, Spain, France & Holland get them while here in the UK we just get the steelbooks which personally I've never been a fan of. Another criticism would be that not all the movies available are that brilliant. I'd love for these to come out in the UK/US though so we get them all with English booklets.

While I like DigiBooks I tend to stay away from them too as they're a bit bare and can get roughed up easily, but the Warner Premium Collection thankfully comes with a clear-plastic slipcover if you order from the right place.

P.s. Please note that any region info listed is only for the BD copy and does not include info for any DVD copies which may be included.

P.s.s. If a mod sees this would you be so kind as to change the thread title so that it's the same as this post's title?

Anyway, on to that list..

This is a good thread maybe people that own some of these can give feedback on which ones are region free. I have 10 from france/germany.

Batman Begins
Blade Runner
The Dark Knight
The Departed
Heat
Inception
Iron Man
Incredible Hulk
John Rambo
Sucker Punch.

All are region free except John Rambo

Tis good to know, my next purchases from the collection will be Inception [DE] & Sucker Punch [DE]. I like the Blade Runner one but I'm gonna go for the 30th anniversary collector's edition instead.

Once we have a bit more info I'll work the confirmed region info into the posted.

Btw, updated my original post with correct artwork, Blu-ray.com links and all four countries.

I have Dark Knight(payed $50 for it!), John Rambo, and Heat.

I love that HEATS digibook is in English writing!!!!

I wish the Dark Knight one was. Has a ton of written word in the digi.

You should update which ones are in English! Would be a great help!

By the way, i find it extremely annoying that instead of sleek Digibooks in the UK we just get boring steelbooks. Digibooks just have way more value!

My problem with steelbooks is that they feel cheap and tacky, especially that plastic spine on them that rattles about.

And I'll update the post asking anyone to add whether their issues are English, Spanish, French or Dutch on/in the slip and booklet.

Is your copy of Heat from Germany or France?

Added booklet languages for all German releases, plus a few from France & Holland.

Also, just realised Sucker Punch is missing from the German list and The Hurt Locker is missing from the French list. So I'll add those into the images and lists tomorrow.

I'm amazed that The Shawshank Redemption doesn't have a Warner Premium Collection DigiBook.

The UK releases have lossy audio, I don't like the US amaray cases (too thin) and the US DigiBook looks thin and cheap too, plus the lack of slipcover on it puts me off.

..this is one of the highest rated movies ever and is a solid performer on home video, it deserves more than a lossy UK outing, and basic amaray/DigiBook outings in the US.

It really should be in the Premium Collection, let's be honest; it deserves it a hell of a lot more than 10,000 B.C. or Clash Of The Titans.

Problem is that Warner doesn't own the European rights for Shawshank. At least in the UK it's ITV that owns it.

Plus i have the US digibook and it looks great! Buy it!!

MITCHINGS:

The Heat digi is from France!

I think the difference to tell wether digi is English or foreign words is at the very top of cover. If it says DVD on the left and Blu Ray on the right, then it's English inside. The foreign language ones don't print DVD on the cover.

Predators digibook German is in GERMAN language

PREDATOR lenticular German digibook is in GERMAN

BRAVEHEART lenticular digi is in GERMAN

DOOMSDAY digibook(I don't know what country, I own it) it is in different language and is an oversized digibook!!! It's the size of the Target exclusive Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull digibook
