Default Should JetBlue Airways promote Blu-ray???

It only makes sense!

JetBlue and its brand of trendy airline ammenities would be a great place to promote High Definition Blu Ray disc. JetBlue already has a agreement with Fox studios and air Fox films on its longer flights across North America. JetBlue also has an aircraft named after Fox Studios called "Blue Fox" and a Simpsons themed aircraft. I feel this is a great way to get Blu Ray exposed to the American market.

JetBlue also has a new rival airline called Virgin America. Their business model is red. I wonder who they would side with???

FOX, this is your chance!!!

Lightbulb In flight movies on blu-ray. Exposure sells!

Ha, ha, ha. Skillz, that is an odd tie in. Not a good idea after the Jet blu embarrasment a few months ago. Making a plane of people sit on the tarmac for about 12 hours with no explanation, no food, no a/c, and not letting them out of the plane.

Now, if the in-flight movie played on blu-ray, then I see it generating a lot of interest. But an airline isn't going to sell players by promoting. In that environment you can't tell people what to buy. They didn't pay money to sit in a flight for hours being brow beaten with advertisments.

If fliers see it and say, "Wow, I gotta have that...then something good came of it." Exposure sometimes sells better than direct advertising.

Jet blu-ray. :P

I could tell you the reasons for the issues last Valentine's Day. But some are not interested in hearing it. The main reason is that there are too many people in this area of the world and heavy airline traffic is common. The facilities were not built to accomodate this growth and now there is no room to grow. This is consistant across the airline industry. There is not enough space for people and airlines to co-exist in major metropolitan areas.

"Embarrassment"??
It was the year's biggest Day-After-Tomorrow nor'easter, the entire East Coast was shut down for almost two days, some thousands of people on all six major airlines were stranded and Ms. "I'm the god, I'M the god!!" Transportation-Exec decides that her bloodlust will not be satisfied until she can personally hound the most popular airline on the east coast into near-bankruptcy just because she happened to get stranded...
Ms. Pest, the clock has just ticked Minute 16.

As for rational ideas about JetBlue, they're already the airline that invented DirecTV satellite-TV seats (unfortunately, Delta's cut back on Song airlines)--
And although Hi-Definition seat monitors and HD channels showing Blu-Ray downloads might not be a bad idea, that's a bit too much for even Sony to sponsor.
