Canada Laurence Anyways

I'm really hoping to get either one or two copies of the Canadian blu-ray+dvd release of Laurence Anyways but the price is far too high for my liking right now. If anyone has a copy and would be happy to sell theirs to me for a good price, please let me know Thankyou very much.

I can't believe how no one is talking about this movie. Saw it the other day and Xavier Dolan did it again. I'm ordering one of the last copies on Amazon right now, hoping it'll have the proper 1.33:1 aspect ratio. Might as well take the risk, seeing as I can't find the info anywhere...

I haven't seen 'Laurence Anyways' yet... but his 2 previous movies were horrible... Like I said before Xavier Dolan is a shame for the province of Quebec and Canada...Overhyped, annoying , pretentious and his flicks are funded with our taxes to make stupid movies always about his vision of his homosexuality ....this is not a homophobic comment btw....

I also can't find any info anywhere. I'm hoping to see a price drop on it before buying. I'm very keen to check it out.

I can't way I loved Dolan's prior works, but I did enjoy them. However, this is absolutely his masterpiece and will likely be the best thing he will ever release. I've never felt so invested in a film for nearly three full hours. Oustanding performances all around. While there are some moments where Dolan still favors style over substance, it's by far his best crafted film yet. One of the best LGBT related films I have seen.

As a quebecker, I think he makes our province proud.

I particularly love how all his movies feature queers, but without it being the actual subject of the film (Laurence Anyways is the closest to being about it, but the real subject is just to keep a couple together through an impossible love). His movies are like real life: some people are homosexual, but it's only an attribute they have, and it doesn't define them as a whole.

Anybody know how this disc compares to the US release by Breaking Glass? Full 168 minutes and correct 1:33:1 ratio? BD-50?

I have the Canadian BD. I just checked the actual disc in my player. (Not just the back packaging, since that can sometimes be inaccurate).

BD-50
1.33:1
2:48:02 running time for the main feature

Hope that helps.
