Wondering if this is a Steelbook set or not like the German Amazon one.... I doubt it, but it certainly has the same cover, and comes with the book... |

Why do all the other countries have a 2-disc blu ray (excluding dvd copy), yet Australia is only getting a 1-Disc Blu-Ray?
I picked my copy up today from my local video store and it's 1-Disc + DVD copy. I checked at JB HI-FI and theirs was 1 Blu Ray + 1 DVD also. What the hell? Am I missing something? |

To answer question above, I asked JB and they said they're selling for $24.98.
I got mine today at the videostore for $17.95! The video store keeps the DVD copy to rent out, and sells the brand new blu-ray with it's original case for cheap. And who would ever watch a visual spectacular like TDKR with the DVD copy anyway?? |

Fair enough. Perhaps the video store gets it cheaper for not buying with special features or something. I also presumed from JB HIFI's listing of the special features being less than is listed on the blu-ray.com site

I for one, have never seen the 1-disc BD of Inception in stores, but that's the version my local Video Ezy was renting out. |

Is anyone buying the JB set with the 2 figurines?
Looks cool but an extra $25 doesnt seem worth it for 2 figures, i wonder what they look like in real life? I think ill just get the standard release from bigw, I already have the other 2 movies on blu and i already have all the books for the movies, these are all excellent if anyone is interested: http://www.amazon.com/Art-Making-Dar...he+dark+knight http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Knight-Ma...he+dark+knight http://www.amazon.com/Batmobile-Comp.../dp/1608871037 http://www.amazon.com/The-Dark-Knigh.../dp/0789324563 http://www.amazon.com/The-Batman-Beg.../dp/B000GFR9PS |

They would've had a better chance of doing a decent job with the figurine had they gone with a Bat-vehicle instead of a character in my opinion. I was going to pick it up today, but it's pouring down hard with thunderstorms over here at the moment! Hopefully it clears up a bit later on. I've already bought the previous 2 movies 3 times incl. the DVDs before I had a BD player, so can't bring myself to buy the Trilogy set until the day they do a new transfer for BB. While we're on the topic of film related books, I'd recommend Nolan Batman fans to check out the graphic novels 'Arkham Asylum', 'Batman: Year One', and 'The Long Halloween' if you haven't already, and you can really see which books Nolan drew his inspiration from. |
